Poppy Campaign

Stand with the Legion – for Veterans and Canada

Each year, from the last Friday in October until Remembrance Day, millions of Canadians wear a poppy as a visible pledge to never forget those who served and sacrificed.

In Tecumseh, Royal Canadian Legion Col. Paul Poisson Branch 261—carries on this tradition with a dedicated team of volunteers.

You’ll find them distributing poppies at the branch itself and at nearby businesses, ensuring every neighbour has the chance to wear this emblem of Remembrance.

This red flower is the heart of the Legion’s Poppy Campaign, raising vital funds to support veterans and their families—right here in our own community. Contributions to Branch 261’s Poppy Fund help cover everything from emergency shelter and medical equipment to transition programs and bursaries for veterans’ children and grandchildren.

We invite everyone in Tecumseh to honour this legacy by stopping by Branch 261 or one of our poppy stations and proudly wearing the poppy—a powerful symbol that Canada will never forget.
